Secure Redact

Effective Date: March 17, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Secure Redact application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use Secure Redact.

Secure Redact is operated by Klexaro Labs Pte. Ltd. ("we," "us," "our," or "Klexaro Labs"), a Singapore-registered company (UEN: 202543042C).

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Klexaro Labs regarding your use of the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Secure Redact. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

3. Service Description

3.1 What Secure Redact Provides

Secure Redact is a sensitive data detection and redaction tool that:

Detects sensitive data types (emails, passwords, API keys, IP addresses, credit cards, SSNs, etc.)
Uses signature-based detection with contextual analysis
Redacts detected data based on user-selected policies
Processes 100% on your device (offline)
Stores local audit logs showing which redaction policies were used
Allows custom threat feeds (Bring Your Own Feed - BYOF)

All processing and storage is completely local to your device. No content is transmitted to our servers.

3.2 Subscription & Purchases

Secure Redact offers a Freemium model:

Free Plan — Permanent access to Credentials and Identity detection (emails, passwords, API keys, SSNs, phone numbers, etc.)
Pro Plan (iOS & macOS) — Recurring monthly or annual billing for full access including Enhanced policies, Financial detection, System identifiers, Threat feeds, and detailed audit logs. Managed via Apple In-App Purchases or RevenueCat.
Pro Plan (Windows) — Available from the Microsoft Store. Includes a free trial so you can try before you buy. Your license is tied to your Microsoft account.

You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings or the payment platform (Apple In-App Purchases, RevenueCat, or Microsoft Store).

Note: Pro licenses are platform-specific and do not sync between Windows and Apple devices. This is by design to guarantee 100% offline privacy — we do not require user accounts.

3.3 Service Limitations

Secure Redact is provided on an "as-is" basis. Important limitations:

Detection is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate
May not detect sensitive data in non-standard formats or natural language
May not detect intentionally obfuscated information
Operates on plain text only (not images, audio, or binary files)
Signature-based detection has inherent limitations

4. Critical Disclaimers

4.1 Detection Accuracy

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

Secure Redact uses signature-based pattern matching, which is not foolproof
The tool may miss sensitive data, particularly in non-standard formats
Detection accuracy depends on whether data matches known signatures
You are responsible for independently verifying all redaction results
We do not guarantee that all sensitive data will be detected or redacted
You assume full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of redaction

4.2 No Regulatory Compliance Guarantee

Secure Redact does NOT guarantee compliance with:

GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation)
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any other regulatory framework

The tool is a technical control only and does not automatically ensure regulatory compliance. You must consult legal and compliance professionals for guidance on meeting regulatory obligations.

4.3 User Responsibility for Verification

You are entirely responsible for:

Reviewing and verifying all redaction results before sharing or publishing content
Ensuring sensitive data has been properly redacted
Testing redaction policies on representative data samples
Confirming no sensitive information remains visible
Understanding the limitations of signature-based detection

DO NOT rely solely on Secure Redact for data protection. Implement additional controls, encryption, and governance as needed.

4.4 Custom Threat Feeds (BYOF)

If you add custom threat feeds to Secure Redact:

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of feed data
We have no relationship with external feed providers
You must ensure you have rights to use feed data
Klexaro Labs is not liable for feed accuracy, completeness, or legality
You are responsible for compliance with feed provider terms
Feed data is stored locally on your device

4.5 Device Backup Implications

Local data (audit logs, threat feeds, redaction policies) may be included in:

iCloud backups (iOS/macOS)
Windows backup services you enable
Other cloud backup services you enable

Klexaro Labs is not responsible for:

Data exposure through cloud backups
Unintended access to local files
Backup security or privacy practices

You are responsible for managing backup encryption and access controls.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Our IP Ownership

Klexaro Labs retains full ownership of:

All detection signatures and pattern-matching algorithms
Signature-based redaction technology
All software, code, and algorithms
Brand identity and trademarks
All proprietary information and trade secrets

5.2 Your Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of:

Any content you input to Secure Redact
Redacted outputs you create

However, you acknowledge that:

You do not own the underlying detection technology
You cannot reverse-engineer, replicate, or reproduce Secure Redact's signatures or algorithms
Detection signatures are Klexaro Labs' proprietary technology

5.3 License Grant

Klexaro Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal and commercial data redaction purposes only.

This license does NOT permit you to:

Reverse-engineer or decompile the app
Extract detection signatures or algorithms
Share account access with others
Modify or redistribute the Service
Use Secure Redact to develop competing products
Sell or sublicense the Service

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Reverse-Engineer — Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code or algorithms
Extract Data — Extract or export detection signatures, code, or proprietary data
Redistribute — Share, sell, rent, lease, or redistribute access to Secure Redact
Competitive Use — Use Secure Redact to develop, train, or improve competing products
Modify or Hack — Modify, patch, hack, or tamper with the app or binaries
Bypass Security — Circumvent security measures, encryption, or access controls
Unauthorized Access — Attempt to access servers, systems, or other users' data
Illegal Use — Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
Violations — Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Billing

Subscription charges are billed monthly or annually per your plan (iOS/macOS)
Windows Pro is available from the Microsoft Store — includes a free trial
Billing is handled by Apple In-App Purchases, RevenueCat, or the Microsoft Store
Klexaro Labs does not directly process or store payment card information
Pro licenses are platform-specific and do not sync between Windows and Apple devices

7.2 Refunds

Refunds are governed by:

Apple In-App Purchases: Follow Apple's App Store refund policy (typically 14-30 days)
RevenueCat: Follow RevenueCat's refund policy
Microsoft Store: Follow Microsoft's refund policy at https://support.microsoft.com/

For refund requests, contact the respective payment platform directly.

7.3 Price Changes

Klexaro Labs reserves the right to change pricing. You will be notified before price increases. Continued use indicates acceptance of new pricing.

7.4 Cancellation

Cancel your subscription anytime through app settings or your payment platform. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds for unused portions.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Secure Redact and all services are provided "AS-IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied, including:

Warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
That all sensitive data will be detected or redacted
That the Service will meet your compliance requirements

8.2 No Liability for Missed Data

KLEXARO LABS IS NOT LIABLE FOR:

Any sensitive data that is NOT detected or redacted
Data breaches, exposure, or loss resulting from undetected information
Regulatory fines, penalties, or liability due to undetected data
Any consequences of incomplete or inaccurate redaction
Your reliance on Secure Redact as your sole data protection mechanism

8.3 Limitation of Damages

IN NO EVENT SHALL KLEXARO LABS BE LIABLE FOR:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
Data breaches or security incidents
Regulatory fines or compliance failures
Damages from your use or inability to use the Service
Third-party claims arising from detected or undetected data

8.4 Liability Cap

Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to Klexaro Labs in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you have not paid anything, our liability is zero.

8.5 Essential Terms

These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of damages and even if remedies fail of their essential purpose.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Klexaro Labs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from:

Your use or misuse of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Claims arising from undetected or missed sensitive data
Claims arising from custom threat feeds you added
Your violation of any applicable law
Third-party claims related to your use of the Service

10. Termination

10.1 By You

Terminate use anytime by deleting the app and canceling your subscription through app settings or your payment platform (Apple, RevenueCat, or Microsoft Store).

10.2 By Klexaro Labs

We may terminate your access immediately if you:

Violate these Terms & Conditions
Engage in prohibited conduct (reverse-engineering, hacking, etc.)
Use the Service illegally or fraudulently
Violate any applicable law

10.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination:

Your access to the Service immediately ceases
Local data on your device remains on your device
Provisions on IP ownership, indemnification, and liability survive termination

11. Data Security & Privacy

Key points:

All processing occurs on your device (offline)
Local audit logs are never sent to our servers
Payment information is handled by Apple, RevenueCat, or Microsoft — not by Klexaro Labs
We do not guarantee 100% security against all possible threats

12. Third-Party Services

Secure Redact uses:

Apple In-App Purchases (payments — iOS/macOS)
RevenueCat (subscription management — iOS/macOS)
Microsoft Store (payments and distribution — Windows)

Klexaro Labs is not responsible for:

Third-party service outages or disruptions
Third-party privacy practices or data handling
Third-party security or compliance

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will notify you by:

Updating the "Effective Date" at the top
Posting a notice in the app
Emailing you of material changes

Continued use after modifications indicates your acceptance.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through:

Good Faith Negotiation — Attempted resolution through written communication
Mediation — Non-binding mediation if negotiation fails
Arbitration/Litigation — Binding arbitration or litigation in Singapore courts at Klexaro Labs' discretion

You waive any right to a jury trial.

15. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full force. Invalid provisions shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make them valid.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Klexaro Labs. They supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

18. Additional Notices

18.1 No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.

18.2 Assignment

Klexaro Labs may assign these Terms to successors or affiliates. You may not assign without our written consent.

18.3 Relationship of Parties

Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship.

18.4 Survival

Sections 4 (Critical Disclaimers), 5 (Intellectual Property), 6 (Prohibited Conduct), 8 (Limitation of Liability), 9 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law) survive termination.
